� Check-In: Normal time is 2pm to 8pm. Please arrange for late arrival in advance.
� Check-out: Time is noon. Exceptions only upon request and can be subject to additional charges.
� Non-Smoking: Smoking only permitted outdoors (and discouraged in general). DO NOT stomp out butts or leave them anywhere on the grounds!
� Pets: Our farm is pet friendly for well-behaved animals. You must clean up after your pet and keep them in designated areas. Do not leave your pet alone on the property without informing us first. If you have guests coming, please have them leave their pets at home.
� There is an additional $150 deposit for pets, refundable at the end of your stay.
� If booking online, please indicate you are bringing your pet. Please call if you have any questions or special needs.
� Visitors: We're sorry, but we do not allow outside visitors without prior approval.
Additional fees may apply. Any more than 4 guests at one time for any unit is considered an 'event.' Drop-offs & pick-ups acceptable. Any obtrusive noise after 11pm will be curtailed. Any argument ensuing may lead to eviction.

About This Property
We call this unit the 'Tardis' (Dr. Who) because it is much bigger inside than it looks from the outside. This cottage is at the top of the 2-acre property with ample safe parking. It is the largest of five units in a cluster. Situated between an orchard and the ornamental gardens, this cottage has a front lawn and a back deck that are private, as well as access to an infrared sauna and hot tub, laundry and an outdoor cabana. Gage Lane is a short road on which the pavement gives way to gravel just beyond our property. Next-door is a magical 1-acre nursery that is open to the public on weekends; up the Lane are horse boarding facilities and then miles and miles of open space all the way to the Pacific Ocean. There are horse rentals nearby.
Decorated with exquisite Asian antiques, 2,000+ square feet of entertainment space features a full kitchen, both formal and casual dining, a large deck with gas grill and seating overlooking the orchard; home theater, a game room and a space we call the Project Studio - with a wood stove and a large, expandable table to spread out on. TV/DVD in common areas. Two bedrooms share the bath, and each has keyed lock.
Nye's Room (Queen) - Overlooking the Rose Lawn. This lovely bedroom with large closet features stunning antiques of a more feminine nature. Stately 4-poster bed under lofty beamed ceiling gets morning sun and is situated across the hall from the bathroom. Hall alcove has a niche with antique writing desk and chair.
The Captain Suite (Full) - is Nautical and knotty! The Captain is at the very end of a hall that opens to Whisper Garden Gazebo and orchard. Intricately carved sleigh bed rests amidst seafaring shanties and single-mast sloops on polished pine wall-paneling and built-in drawers makes you feel within the hull of a yacht. Work desk and sitting table make this aft cabin a great place to study or write. TV/DVD. Close proximity to the Greenhouse and Spa.

We held a 5 day, 3-generation family reunion at this location between Christmas and New Year's day, utilizating 2 of the units. Nancy, the owner, was in contact with us before we arrived and had the units warmed and ready provided us with all the details necessary for our comfort including fresh eggs from the farm in the fridge. She was helpful throughout the visit giving us a tour of all the facilities and the unique features offered in addition to the accommodations. The units have comfortable beds, a distinct Asian theme and are actually small libraries containing hundreds of old and new books plus a hot tub (which got lots of use by the younger generation) and a sauna.
The small farm is in Indian Valley, a very pretty area of mostly small horse ranches and oak trees in the south part of Novato. The town center is composed of several blocks of 2-story buildings consisiting of small businesses/stores and ample eating places with the usual big box national entities on the periphery and outskirts.
We made ample use of the beautiful surrounding areas with spectacular drives to the Point Reyes National Park and lighthouse and through the Sonoma Valley wine country. A bonus is the closeness to San Francisco for easy day trips.
The WiFi still needs some work as reception was spotty, most likely due to the valley location. No regular TV service but ample CD's for movies. Nancy is still working on this. For multiple family or friends' gatherings, this destination is a unique, comfortable and memorable experience.

Our stay in Nancy's 2-bdrm place was more than satisfactory. The place has so much space, is cozy, nicely decorated, and it has pretty much everything we needed and more: a well equipped kitchen, linens, 3 dining tables, living room areas with lots of great books and games, a comfy entertainment area with a great dvd collection, outdoor seating spaces with a barbecue grill, a laundry room, soft tub and sauna!
This place is better than any hotel. It is really quiet at night and the stars look amazing. The owner, Nancy, is friendly and accommodating and we found she had many things in common with us!
We used the place for a family gathering and it was perfect. Spacious and broken up into different seating/conversation areas outside and inside, and the visiting adults and kids loved checking out the chickens.
Although it is a farm, with gravel driveways and has some work in progress areas, the place has a pleasing appearance and the inside of every unit Nancy rents (she encouraged us to visit them) is very carefully and beautifully set and well maintained. Also, we got our security deposit back only a few days after the last day we stayed there! We will definitely rent a unit at Nancy's again when we go back to northern California.

I cannot emphasize enough just how true the owner's comment were that the unit is much bigger than it looks in the pictures. We expected minimal 2-bedroom accommodation and instead found a well-furnished, decent-sized house.
Things that were potential downers: the property is very much a work in progress. If you're expecting an agro-tourism resort, well, this is not what you'll get. There are chickens, soft-fruit trees, vegetables, and some B&B amenities such as a spa. The driveway is gravel and you need to follow standard farmer's gate protocol: if it's open, leave it open, if it's shut, then shut it after you. And some parts of the property are still being worked on, though the work is not disruptive.
I enjoyed the crowing of nearby roosters and the cries of peacocks. That might not be to everyone's liking.
There were fresh eggs, fruit and vegetables in the fridge when we arrived. The owner is on the premises and is quite friendly and accommodating (We found that we had a lot in common). The books on the shelves are actually ones that I wanted to read, not some random selection of cast-offs or airport novels.
In my opinion, this was unexpectedly good Marin accommodation for the price, and we would not hesitate to stay here again when the opportunity arises.
